Donald Bynum Howell

Mr. Donald Bynum Howell, 93, of Monroe, NC passed away Monday, May 24, 2021. He was born in Buncombe County on May 3, 1928, son to the late Clarence Frederick Howell and Legia Mae Trexler Howell. He is also preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Katherine Gardner Howell and a sister Mary Moncada. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Central United Methodist Church Chapel, 801 S. Hayne St., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM until 2:45PM in Central Hall. The inurnment will follow the service in the church columbarium. Donald is survived by his daughter, Donna Knight, husband, Jeffrey and his two grandchildren; Beth Knight, (Fiancé Addison Verdell) and Mia Knight, all of Monroe, brother, C.F. “Peck” Howell, of Greeneville, TN.
