Donald Wayne Liles, 79, of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on May 9, 2017. He was born in Union County, NC on April 8, 1938 to the late Henry Liles and Ella Presson Liles. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Mr. Liles is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rachel Griffin Liles, two daughters; Debbie Mew of Monroe, NC, and Donna Menge, husband Scott, of Raleigh, NC, a sister; Florence Gendron of Wallingford, CT.
