Donald "Don" Price

Donald Herman Price “Don”, age 81, of Fairview, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 6, 2018, surrounded by his family. Don was born on November 18th, 1936, in Union County, NC. He attended Fairview School and graduated from Wingate Jr. College and NC State University. He enlisted in the US Army Reserve program and taught school for 9 years before settling into farming, trucking, and growing turkeys. Don continued working into his retirement as he worked alongside his two sons, family members, and many friends at Carolina Green Corp. He loved serving the Lord as an active elder and member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Fairview. Don is preceded in death by his father, J. Flynn Price, his Mother, Emaline Brooks Price and his brother Jim B. Price. Don is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 58 years, Ann Haigler Price, son Chad Price (Kerry), and son Rodd Price (Rita); six Grandchildren, Whitney Price Herman (Mike), Cameron Price, Jackson Price, Jessica Price, Joshua Price, and Matthew Price; one Great Granddaughter, Waverly Ann Herman; Sister, Mary Vern Shannon of Reidsville, NC; Sister-in-law, Barbara Price, of Monroe, NC; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 7608 Concord Highway, Monroe, NC, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.
