Donald Eugene Tarlton

Donald Eugene Tarlton, 88, of Monroe, NC passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022. He was born in Union County on October 15, 1933, son to the late William Lumas and Dora Williams Tarlton. He was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren, Omar Bizri and Maya Bizri.

He was a US Army Veteran, a loving husband of 65 years, a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved the Lord and served his church.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy., Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM until 2:45PM in the church sanctuary.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Joan Cranford Tarlton, son Gary Tarlton (Kathy) of China Grove, NC, daughter Donna Bizri (Adnan) of Orlando, FL, sister Lanelle Richardson (Maurice) of Monroe, five grandchildren; Hannah Bizri, Mona Bizri, Farrah Bizri, Blake McIntosh and Mitchell McIntosh, three great-grandchildren; Lexi Grady, Ezra Bizri and Hayden McIntosh, niece Ashlie Hancock.
