Donna Lavonne Gamble

Donna Lavonne Gamble, 47, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was born May 22, 1972 in Union County, NC as the daughter of Donald and Judy Gamble. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clay and Vernie Hildreth and by her paternal grandparents, Raeford and Barbara Gamble. She is preceded in death by her nephew, Samuel Isaac Gamble and a special cousin, Lesley Nicole Hildreth. Donna is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins who always made her feel special. Donna is survived by her parents; her sister, Kristy Gilbert (Neal); her brother Jason Gamble (Paige); and three nieces: Abby Gilbert, Madison Gilbert, and Emma Gamble along with three nephews: Andrew Gilbert, Luke Gamble, and Benjamin Gamble. Donna was a special needs adult who loved people. She also loved going to church. Donna was an avid Southern Gospel Music fan and she had several opportunities to meet some of her favorite Southern Gospel artists, including Bill Gaither. Donna loved little babies and they loved her as well. The family is very grateful for the years Donna spent participating in the program offered at Union Diversified Industries (UDI) in Monroe. Her experience at UDI gave Donna a sense of worth and provided opportunities for social interaction. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 6:00 PM, on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2316 Concord Highway, Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Lakeland Memorial Park.
