Doris Ruth Funk

Dateline: Fort Mill, SC Doris Ruth Funk, 83, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 30, 1926 daughter of the late William and Bessie Tew Horrocks. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, officiated by Mr. Rex Trogdon and Rev. David Horrocks. Entombment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Funk was preceded in death by her husband, Leo John Funk. She is survived by her son, John “Jack” Funk and wife Carol of Ft. Mill, SC, daughters, Betsy Mokry and husband Garry of Wills Point, TX, and Grace Long and husband Paul of Saopaulo, Brazil South America, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
