Doris Jean (Richardson) Lindenmuth

June 30, 1934 — November 15, 2016

Doris Jean Hasty Lindenmuth, loving mother and grandmother died on November 15, 2016 at Pruitt Health in Monroe. She was a resident of Indian Trail, N.C., attended Unionville School, and was a lifelong member of Friendly Baptist Church. She retired from Ferncrest Fashions in Matthews, where she worked as a supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ledford and Bright Simpson Richardson, a sister, Ruth Helms (Clarence), and brother, Herman Richardson (Marie). She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph J. Hasty, and by Robert A. Lindenmuth, her spouse for six years. She is survived by a sister, Frances Rushing (J.W.), her son, J.R. Hasty (Debra) of Indian Trail, and daughter, Cindy Dermid (Eddie) of Monroe; five grandchildren, Brooks Hasty (Ana) of Indian Trail, Kyle Hasty (Jordan) of Charlotte, Amanda Moak (Nate) of Wadesboro, Carter Dermid (Laura) of Wingate, and Cody Dermid (Katelynn) of Indian Trail, and six great-grandchildren, Christian and Bella Hasty, and Bryson, Ayla, Eli and Judah Dermid; a step-son, Dan Lindenmuth (Sherri), and step-daughters, Mitzi Carlson (Ernie), and Tammy Turner (Scott), 14 step-grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-laws, Margie Hasty, Mary Hasty, Delaine Robinson (Harry), and Darlene Broadway (W.T.); and many nieces and nephews, one who was more like a brother, Donnie Helms (Louise), and by her friend and roommate at Pruitt Health, Georgia Sanderson. The family will receive friends at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, from 5:00-6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 7:00 p.m. An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will be held at Friendly Baptist Church, 5418 Friendly Baptist Church Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079, the following day.
