Doris Jean Little

Doris Jean Little, 75, died Thursday, August 16, 2007. She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on August 5, 1932 daughter of the late Vann Eugene and Beulah Beatrice Helms McRorie. Jean was a retired Piedmont High School Cafeteria employee. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Lakeview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raeford Lynn Little, sisters, Mary Sanders and Ann Halfpenny. Jean is survived by son, Jeff Little and wife Linda of Weddington, daughters, Debbie Page and husband Nathan of Wilmington, Angie Elwood and husband Brent of Indian Trail, brothers, Avery McRorie and wife Bobbie of Raleigh, Loyd McRorie of Maysville, George McRorie and wife Roxie of Pageland, SC, Freddie McRorie and wife Wanda of Edgewater, Fla., sisters, Betty Lou Hancock of Swartz Creek, Michigan, and Dorothy “Bitsy” Scott and husband Tait, also known as Scottie of Monroe, Scottie was not known by Jean as a brother-in-law, but a true brother; grandchildren, Emily Page, Tracey Reeves, Trevor and Blake Little and Brad, John and Todd Elwood. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice Palliative Care, 1420 E.
