Doris Griffin Martin, 71, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Simpsonville, SC. She was born in Union County, NC on May 16, 1944 daughter of the late Graham Vernon and Clara Jane Austin Griffin. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 1:30 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Martin, son, Christopher Martin and a brother, Curtis Griffin. She is survived by a daughter, Heather Brown and husband Dr. Eric Brown of Simpsonville, SC, brother, Bobby H. Griffin of Monroe and grandchildren, Logan and Lucas Brown.
