Doris Sue Pinion Price, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2026. She was born February 27, 1942 to the late Clarence B. and Lucy Cook Pinion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wayne Neal Price, and her brother Rondel Pinion. 

Doris Sue was a lifelong resident of Union County. Retired from BellSouth, a former Sunday School teacher and choir member, Doris Sue loved animals and children. She consistently volunteered for youth programs like vacation bible school, Awana and Prospect Elementary School’s Good News Club to teach children that with Christ all things are possible. 

Those left to cherish sweet memories of Doris Sue include sister, Teresa Mullis; brother- and sister-in-law, Bill and Libby Price; sons, Greg and Scott Price; four grandchildren, Seth and Zach Price and Jeremy and Christa Stalvey; lots of nieces and nephews, and great Christian friends who are like family.

A graveside service will be at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, 1106 W Sandy Ridge Road in Monroe Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2026 at 2:30 PM, followed by visitation with the family in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
