Doris “Kay” Rape, 71 of Wingate, NC passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. She was born in Union County on November 30, 1946 to the late James and Pauline Rushing Collins. She was also preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Collins. Mrs. Rape is survived by her loving husband Joe Rape, son Greg Rape, wife Brittany of Monroe, two daughters, Lisa Rush, husband David of Charlotte, Amy Doust of Ohio, a brother, J.Brent Collins, wife April of Monroe, a sister, Beth Tice, husband Jimmy of Monroe, eleven grandchildren, Josh Godwin, Brandon Godwin, Kalyn Rush, Jack Rush, Taylor Godwin, Hunter Rush, Lauren Rush, Mattie Godwin, Anna Grace Rush, Jaxx Rape, Rhett Rape. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at Faulks Baptist Church, 2234 Faulks Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and family from 11:00am until 12:45pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
