Dorothy Faire Starnes Plyler, 81, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014. She was born in Union County, NC on February 15, 1932 daughter of the late James Walter and Rebecca Baker Starnes. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 4:00 until 6:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Pageland, SC. Mrs. Plyler is survivied by a son, Randy Montgomery and wife Sherri and granddaughter Carrie Montgomery of Monroe, sister-in-law, Helen Johnson of Monroe.
