Mrs. Dorothy Morton McManus, 85, of Monroe, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born in Union County on March 21, 1935 to the late E. Blease Morton and Lela Starnes Morton. She is also preceded in death by her son, Richard Gene Couick, husband Jimmy Lee McManus, as well as a brother, Staley Morton and sister, Madine Aycoth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112, burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
