Dorothy Angela (Aycoth) Mills

Dorothy Aycoth Mills, 87, went home to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Monroe Manor. She was born May 5, 1928, in Union County, daughter of the late Robert Ellis Aycoth and Faye Moore Aycoth. Dorothy was a graduate of Prospect High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Mills; two sisters, Marjorie Helms and Bonita Belk; brothers, Hilton Aycoth and David Aycoth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 23, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM, prior to the service, at the church. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Vicki Mills Bivens and husband, Arnold; son, John Michael Mills; grandsons, Arnold Lee Bivens and Gregory Morgan Bivens; two great-granddaughters, Victoria Leigh Bivens and Ariel Marie Bivens; and sister, Lydia Blackmon.
