Dorothy “Bitsy” McRorie Scott, 78, of Monroe, NC passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023. She was born in Mecklenburg Co., NC on January 20, 1945, the daughter of the late Van Eugene McRorie and Beulah Beatrice Helms McRorie. She is preceded by her siblings: Avery McRorie, Mary Sanders, Doris Jean Little, Lloyd McRorie, Betty Lou Hancock, Freddie McRorie, and Carolyn Ann Halfpenny.

Bitsy is survived by her husband, Tait “Scottie” Scott, one brother, George McRorie (Roxie), and many nephews, nieces, godchildren, and their families.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends and family following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making memorials to: The Baptist Children's Home, Lakeview Baptist Church Building Fund, or Hospice of Union County.
