Dorthy Lillian Geehring

Dorthy Lillian Ruff Geehring, 78, of Monroe, North Carolina, died on October 30, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Dorthy was born June 17, 1947, daughter of the late Sanford Ruff and Mary Stout Ruff. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers Walter Edward Stout and Joseph Richard Ruff and sister Ruth Basinger.

Dorthy retired from Geico after 33 years of service. She was an avid florist, shopper and cook. Dorthy was known for having beautiful flowers.

Dorthy was a member of the Mount Caramel Church in Monroe, North Carolina.

Dorthy graduated from Connellsville High school and was a part of the class of 1965.

She is survived by her loving husband Ronald Willis Geehring, son Ronald Wayne Geehring and wife Samantha Geehring, granddaughter Lillian Britt Geehring and grandson Ronald Wayne Geehring II, two brothers Sanford “Sonny” Ruff, James “Jim” Ruff, and five sisters Ellen Basinger, Emma Brothers and husband Larry, Audrey Friguletti, Bonnie Heisterman and husband Harry Heisterman, and Vida Nicholson and husband Larry Nicholson.
