Douglas “Lynn” Crooke, 75, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. He was born in Union County on October 15, 1941, son of the late Harold and Mary Phifer Crooke. He is also preceded by a sister-in-law, Jackie Crooke. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow the service at Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Crooke is survived by three sons, Tony Crooke, wife Amy of Marshville, Stephen Crooke, wife April of Tradesville, SC, and Chris Crooke, wife Sherry of Virginia, two brothers, Kirby Crooke, wife Mary Jane of Monroe, and Norman Crooke of Monroe, two sisters, Janet Turner, husband Bill of Matthews, and Myra Gail Billingsley, husband Ronnie of Monroe, seven grandchildren, Mary, Mark, Starr, Baron, Bess, Bryce, and Grace Crooke, and a great grandchild, William Crooke.
