Douglas Solon Parker, 66, of Monroe, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019. He was born April 21, 1953 a son of the late Solon Basil and Ruby Vashti Parker. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Saturday, June 8, 2019 in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112 with Pastor Mike Harris officiating. Burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service, Saturday from 1:00PM to 2:45PM at the funeral home. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Debra Richardson Parker, three sons, Kelly Ray Parker (Tricia), Ronnie Parker (Deana), Steven Brantley (Amy) all of Monroe, a brother, Max Parker (Betty Jean), a sister, Martha Holloway (Bill), four grandchildren, Callie Bernard (Chase), Kaylin Parker, Lilly Brantley, and Adam Brantley.
