Dowd Presson, 89, of Indian Trail, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Dowd was born in Union County on April 8, 1931, son to the late Vann Buren Presson and Kathleen Duncan Presson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Willene Presson. The funeral services will be private. The family will not be in attendance during visitation hours. Dowd was a faithful member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was a school bus driver for Union County Public Schools for over 13 years. Survivors include a son, Emmers Presson (Sandy) of Indian Trail; a daughter Kathy Presson, of Newton, NC; brother, Ikie Neal Presson, of Pinehurst NC; sister, Patsy Joyner (Larry) of Cornelius NC and one grandson, Jacob Presson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emmanuel Cemetery Fund, in care of, Emmers Presson, 7512 W. Duncan Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
