Dr. David C. Hayes

Dr. David C. Hayes, 48, went home to be with his Lord Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was born in Greenville, SC on January 5, 1968. David was a loving husband, father, and was loved by all that knew him. He served as senior pastor at different churches during his ministry including, Valley Creek Baptist, Leonard, TX, First Baptist Gowenville, Landrum, SC, West Monroe Baptist, Monroe, NC, and was current Executive Pastor at Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Victory Campus of Hopewell Baptist Church, 8900 Concord Hwy., Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Hayes is survived by his parents, Joe F. and Eleanor Hayes, of Travelers Rest, SC, his loving wife of 24 years, Debbie Farmer Hayes, daughter, Grace Hayes, son, Titus Hayes, both of the home, brothers, Rev. Joe F. Hayes, Jr. and wife Elaine, Thomas Hayes and wife Valeria all of Travelers Rest, SC, sisters, Nancy Holcombe and husband Ron of Taylors, SC, and Katina Riley and husband Ray of Travelers Rest, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church, Victory Campus, 8900 Concord Hwy., Monroe, NC 28110. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund, 420 Hopewell Church Rd., Monroe, NC 28110.
