Dr. Lani Achor Ford, 84, of Indian Trail, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in her home with her husband, her sister, and friends by her side. She was born in Līhuʻe on the island of Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi on April 17, 1941. Her parents were the late Arthur Achor and Doris Larson Achor.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Zion Methodist Church, 1521 Old Fish Road, Monroe, North Carolina 28110, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. in the church’s New Life Center.

Lani is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dr. Clark Ford, a son, William Kelly Ford (Sara), a granddaughter, Amanda Ford, a brother Arthur Achor, and a sister Karen Achor.
