Earl Culbreth, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at his home. He was born June 23, 1920 in Houston County Al, son of the late Jesse A. and Ettie Webb Culbreth. He served in the United States Army during WWII, and retired after 50 years in the Life and Health Insurance Industry. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2009 in Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Rich Myers, Dr. Robert Taylor, and Rev. Bill Fogarty. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. Earl is survived by his loving wife, Estelle Duckett Culbreth of the home, two sons, Rex E. Culbreth, and wife Kay, Rev. John C. Culbreth, and wife Kay all of Wesley Chapel, one daughter, Pat C. Fenton of Bradenton, Fl, two brothers, Winton W. Culbreth of Golden Canyon, AZ, and Charles R. Culbreth of Jackson Gap, Al, one sister, Sue Sellers of Columbia, Al, nine grandchildren, Scott Culbreth, and wife Vicki, Amy Culbreth, Kirstie Watts, and husband Jeff, Chip Halloran, and wife Tricia, Jonathan Culbreth, and wife Carrie, Matthew Culbreth, Brian Fenton, Lauren Cross, and husband Scott, and Mark Fenton, ten great grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Culbreth, Zack and Emily Watts, William Halloran, Jaxton Culbreth, Emma and Gillian Fenton, Austyn and Ayden Cross. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe NC 28112.
