Edith Marie Smith Ross, 81, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019. She was born on January 1, 1938 to the late Fletcher Smith and Lillie Burris Smith. She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Eugene Ross. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Benton’s Cross Roads Baptist Church, 109 E Lawyers Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Edith is survived by her loving husband, Bill Ross, son, Johnny Houston Ross of Indian Trail, and daughter, June Marie Ross of Monroe, NC, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
