Edward Darrell Chaney, Sr.

Edward Darrell Chaney Sr.,76, went home to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ face to face on November 6, 2018. Service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, with visitation to follow. Services will be conducted by Rev. John Jenkins and Rev. Randy Sharp. Darrell is the son of the late Thomas Edward and Martha Hinson Chaney, the brother of the late Barbara Chaney Clontz, and the brother in law of the late Dennis Clontz . Darrell is the father of the late Edward Darrell Chaney Jr. and the father in law of the late Timothy Laney Sr. He is survived by his wife Linda Sinclair Chaney, his daughters Darren Laney, Dana Deaton, and Denise Outen, and his son in laws Olin Deaton Sr and Dr Brian Outen. Darrell is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. His children and grandchildren will always remember him as a man who cared very much about God, his church, and his family. He was the perfect mix of humor, wit, and compassion. He knew how to put a smile on your face. His grandchildren will remember his stories, songs, laughter, jokes, chicken and dumplings, and popsicles with papaw. Darrell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was happiest hunting or fishing with his friends and family. He taught his family a lot about the sports, and the time they all spent together will always be remembered and cherished. The lessons learned from him will be passed from generation to generation. There is a great heavenly rejoicing going on now. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. His presence will be so greatly missed, but we know he is dancing around in heaven and is feeling no more pain or suffering. Memorials may be made to Mercy House of the Philippines.
