Elaine Goodwin

Dateline: Mineral Springs, NC Elaine Goodwin, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010. She was born on November 10, 1924 in Union County, NC daughter of the late Walter and Lillie Wolfe Hemby. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of Mineral Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her husband Russell Laney Goodwin. She is survived by sons, Don and Kay Goodwin of Monroe, Mike and Patti Goodwin of Waxhaw, Rick and Peggy Goodwin and Kenneth and Teren Goodwin, all of Mineral Springs, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday prior to the funeral at 11:00 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
