Dateline: Lancaster, SC Elbert Herman Jackson, 85, died Saturday, June 21, 2008. He was born in Lancaster County, SC on June 29, 1922 son of the late Samuel Boyd and Hester Lee Haywood Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a WW II Navy veteran, a US Postal employee, a Mason and Shriner. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Osceola United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:30 at the church. Burial will follow at Bel Air United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Pierce Jackson, brothers, Luke, Rob, and Henry Jackson and a sister, Ann Starnes. Mr. Jackson is survived by daughters, Dianne Liles and husband Ron of Woodland, California, and Pam Jackson of Charlotte, NC, sister, Emma Lee Sims of Asheville, NC, granddaughter, Lorin Liles Harrott, grandson, Whitney Thomas Liles, great granddaughter, Sydney Harrott, and great grandson, Dylan Liles.
