Mrs. Eleanor Starnes Hammonds, 90, of Monroe, NC passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was born in Union County on January 25, 1930 daughter to the late John Hurley Starnes and Pearl McManus Starnes. She is also preceded in death by her husband John Harrison Hammonds Jr. and their sons, Larry Hammonds and Gary Hammonds. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Corinth Baptist Church, 3805 Corinth Church Road, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
