Eleanor “Jane” Helms, 81, of Monroe, NC passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was born in Bessemer City, NC daughter to the late Lewis McCain Hedgepath and Mary Stowe Hedgepath. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband John Hall “Bill” Helms. Jane served as a Magistrate for over 30 years in Union County, and was a loyal member of West Monroe Baptist Church. A private graveside will be held at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00AM until 4:00PM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Jane is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Helms and Kimberly Nicholls, husband Scot, a brother, Kenneth Hedgepath, three grandchildren, Sarah, Madi and Jackson Nicholls.
