Dateline: Monroe Mrs. Elgeva Harrell Pender 90, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Scotland County she was born October 28, 1920, daughter of the late Luther and Lena Bailey Harrell. She was retired from Perfect Fit Industries. and was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Marshall Pender, Sr. in 1993. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe NC. Funeral services will be held from the graveside at Lakeland Memorial Park, Tuesday at 2:00 PM, interment will follow in the cemetery. Surviving are sons; Phil Pender, Sam Pender and Hamer Pender all of Monroe. Daughter; Gaile Griffin of Marshville, also 7 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
