Ann Deese, 71, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020. Ann was born in Union County on October 28, 1948 a daughter of the late Carneice Wilton and Mary Elizabeth Lowery Griffin. She was a member of Lee Park Baptist Church, was employed over 30 years by Wingate University. Family was everything to her. Funeral services for Ann will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Lee Park Baptist Church, 2491 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110 with burial to follow in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service Wednesday, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Lee Park Church. Ann is survived by a son, Lee Deese of Monroe, a daughter Wendy Bryant (Bobby) of Monroe, three brothers, Donald Griffin (Martha) of Monroe, Emsley Griffin (Martha) of Lancaster, SC, Jack Griffin of Monroe, four sisters, Iris Kiker of Monroe, Barbara Bodenheimer of Monroe, Vickie Griffin of Monroe, Denise Preslar (Rodney) of Marshville, two grandchildren, Alexis and Mason Bryant and several nieces and nephews.
