Elizabeth Hartis Horne, 91, of Wingate, NC passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born in Union County on February 2, 1930 daughter to the late Murray Oscar Hartis and Rosa Lugenia Griffin Hartis. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Gary A. Horne. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:45PM. Burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters Sylvia Whitley husband Pete, Debra Brewer husband Garry, and Karen Painter husband Willard, sister Ercel Hartis Horton and a sister-in-law Jewel Hartis, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her three brothers, J.N. Hartis, James Hartis and Murray T. Hartis, five sisters, Charlotte Deese, Barbara Whitley, Fannie Hartis, Thelma Moore Medlin and Lucille Williams.
