Elizabeth Ann Johnson

Elizabeth Ann Huff Johnson, 82, of Matthews, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was born in Raleigh, NC on February 24, 1941 daughter to the late J.W. Huff and Louise Harris Huff.

She always believed in her salvation and was a very compassionate person when healthy. She struggled with mental illness and it made her life very difficult. Her struggles with mental health took joy from much of her life. We know that now she is whole in heaven.

Elizabeth loved cats, birds, flowers, antiquing and hiking in the fall to look at the fall leaves. She was known for her beef stew, chicken and rice and corn pudding. She spent most of her career as a Floral Designer of which she enjoyed. Her final years at the Dorchester were good years with food, fellowship, and friends.

Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Joy Johnson and Julie Hunter as well as four grandchildren, Wesley; Lacey; Samuel; and Alexander.
