Ella Ramelle (Pope) Baucom

Ella Ramelle Baucom, 85, passed away, Wednesday, April 2, 2014. She was born in Union County, NC on October 24, 1928 daughter of the late Edmond and Eula Bryant Pope. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Baucom was preceded in death by her husband, Victor C. Baucom, Jr. and daughter, Linda Starr Aldridge. She is survived by daughter, Anne B. Edwards and husband Phil of Wingate, brother, Yates Pope and wife Shirley of Marshville, grandchildren, Shannon Davis and husband J.D. and children, Sabrina and Jayda, Chris Edwards and wife Meredith and children, Nolan and Reagan, Gena Strough and husband Steve and children, J.C. and Sean and Jamie Aldridge and wife Annette and their daughter, Taylor Starr. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 4312 Old Pageland-Monroe Rd., Monroe, NC 28112.
