Ellen Eugenia McCorkle Moore, 87, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was born in Union County, NC on September 19, 1937, daughter to the late Dowd Herman McCorkle and Thelma Little McCorkle. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wilson Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.

Eugenia retired from Springs Industries. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

Eugenia is survived by her son, Roger Moore, and wife Sonya; grandchildren, Brandon Moore and wife Katie, and Carrie Elmore; great-grandchildren, Bane Elmore, and wife Bailee and Kaylee Elmore; great great-grandchildren, Evie Elmore, and Griffin Elmore; sisters, Estelle Rowell and her late husband Leonard, and Joyce Starnes and her late husband Bill.
