Emily Ann Niven

Emily Ann Niven, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014. She was born in Union County on June 22, 1930, daughter of the late Frank A. and Bessie Weir Niven. She was preceded in death by Vivian N. Crane, Evelyn N. Gordon, Charles D. Niven, Margaret Joye N. Sadoti and Betty N. Tangari. Miss Niven graduated from Waxhaw High School and Charlotte Business School. She worked her entire career at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry. She was a tower of strength and loved by her entire family. We feel privileged to have her as an example for unconditional love and compassion. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 2220 Billy Howie Rd., Mineral Springs, NC 28108 Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow the service in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the funeral.
