Emma Louise (Williams) Sutton

July 1, 1939 — March 29, 2015

Emma Louise Sutton “Moma E” was born July 1, 1939 to the late Eufallar Watts Williams and Clayton Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina. Upon the death of both of her parents, she was raised by her Aunt Willie Kate Watts Montgomery and Uncle Otis Montgomery. She departed this earthly life with her children by her bedside on Sunday, March 29, 2015. “Moma E” was a 1958 graduate of Western Union School. She was a dedicated employee with Monroe City Schools which later merged into Union County Public Schools for over 25 years. She was a volunteer for the Raleigh Chapter #369. “Moma E” was a caregiver to many throughout her life and gave of herself in some special way to everyone she met. In addition to both of her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Austin Sutton Sr. and one sister Frankie L. Williams. She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her daughter Allison Argress Duncan (Haywood), her son Austin Sutton Jr. (Kimberly) of Monroe, N.C., three sisters Claytee Rochelle, Ruth Hobson, Barbara Ortiz (Julio) and one brother Clayton Horace Williams Jr. (Socorro) all of Raleigh, N.C., one brother in law James Sutton and one sister in law Alene Meadows (June). A special extended family of one Goddaughter Sandra Rhodes (Kevin) of Monroe, N.C. A very special granddaughter Alicia Nicole Sutton of Charlotte, N.C. Eight grandchildren Trenton Duncan, Ashton Duncan, Mackenzie Sutton, Nick Lewis, Mikayla Rhodes, Shaquille Lazenby, Keon Rhodes, one great granddaughter Rylee Payton Duncan and a special friend of the family Allison Birkey. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
