Eric “Dog” Baucom, 59, of Monroe, NC passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023. He was born in Union County on October 23, 1963 son to the late Joe Darrell Baucom and Marie Medlin Baucom.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Hope Second Advent Christian Church, 6804 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28110 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Eric will Lie in State from 1:00PM until 1:45PM prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

Eric is survived by his daughter Chelsea Baucom (Dustin Peneger), three sisters, Sonya Greene (Jeff); Sandy Mills (Mike); and Stephanie Williams (Shane); aunt Angela Hinson, grandchildren Madelyn Hamrick and Noah Peneger as well as many nieces and nephews.
