The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be private.

Erica was a devoted wife to Shawn Bernas and a wonderful mother to their two children, Kaitlyn Bernas and Michael Bernas. Her unwavering support and involvement in their children's lives—from Scouts to Theatre—reflected a deep commitment to nurturing and celebrating every milestone. Erica’s presence was a constant source of encouragement and love for her family.

She was the cherished child of Paul Wilson and Gwyn Wilson. Erica shared a close bond with her sister, Amanda Wilson, and her brothers, Dan Wilson and Cody Wilson. These relationships were marked by warmth, loyalty, and love.

Erica was known not only as a loving wife and mother but also as an amazing friend. She had an extraordinary ability to be there for others—offering comfort, laughter, or simply a listening ear whenever it was needed. Her kindness touched many lives, creating lasting memories for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
