Ernest Sidney Austin

Ernest Sidney Austin Jr., 72, of Indian Trail, NC passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was born in Hendricks County, VA on October 28, 1948, son to the late Ernest Sidney Austin Sr., and Helen Bowes Austin. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Tabitha Austin. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed the open road. He loved that his job allowed him to meet new people. He was a true kid at heart and was loved by his wife and family. Ernest is survived by his loving wife Penelope Austin; son Ernest Sidney Austin III and wife April; daughter Susie Austin; sisters, Rita Cook and Irene Chapman; three grandchildren, Sidney, Caitlyn and Bentley Austin as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
