Ernest Eugene Cline

Dateline: Monroe, NC Ernest Eugene Cline, 89, passed away March 7, 2021 at Levine & Dickson Hospice, Charlotte, NC. He was the son of the late Ray and Marie Claypool Cline. Ernest was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Cline and sister, Betty Hardway. Ernest loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains. He also loved working as a mechanical designer in his two businesses and was an Air Force Veteran. Ernest is survived by his three sons, Alan Cline, wife Kim of Lenoir, NC; Monty Cline, Sullivan, Il; Tracy Cline, Conway, SC; a sister, Helen Biggs Casey, Il; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
