Ernie Max Carraway

Mr. Ernie Max “Gampy” Carraway, 59, of Waxhaw, NC., passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born in Union County on October 18, 1958 son to the late Henry and Annie Wallace Carraway, he is also preceded in death by a sister Betsy Ann Carraway. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Lee Park Church, 2505 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC, 28110. The family will receive friends and family following the memorial service in the sanctuary. Ernie is survived by his loving wife Wanda Stegall Carraway, two daughters; Emily Carraway Hailey of Waxhaw, and Lindsey Carraway Sistare, husband Brent, of Monroe, seven grandchildren; Jada Carraway, Taysia Massey, Lucas, Cody, and Kayla Sistare and Calvin Lindsey, a great-grandaughter Aniyah Lindsey, a great-grandson, Brezden Rivens and his father Keenan, brother Bill Carraway (Linda), sister Elaine Bolick (Clyde), brother John Carraway (Sandy), all of Waxhaw. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ernie was loved by lots of family and friends.
