Eugene "Gene" Jesse Brantley, Sr.

Eugene “Gene” Jesse Brantley Sr., 97, of Monroe, NC passed away on May 9, 2025. He was born in Union County on September 24, 1927, son to the late John G. and Cordie Alice Helms Brantley. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Cynthia Suelene “Sue” Brantley, his siblings, Charles, J.C., and Doc, as well as his daughter-in-law Lori Brantley.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 5300 Nesbit Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30PM until 2:45PM in the Fellowship Hall prior to the service.

Gene, along with his wife, started Brantley Dental Lab in 1947. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Cindy B. Henderson (David), sons; Gene Brantley Jr. (Laurie), Mark Brantley (Jean), Melvin Melton (Darlene), four grandchildren; Steven Brantley (Amy), Patrick Henderson (Ensley), Krystal B. Buenrostro (Carlos) and Chance Brantley (Katie), Great-grandchildren; Lilly, Adam, Emelia, Grace, Landon, Lorianne, Hazel Sue, Casie (Alex), Clay, Chris (Anita), Addison, Blaine, and Amy (Adam), Tyler, and Parks.
