Eunice Godfrey

Eunice Gordon Godfrey, 76, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. She was born in Union County on September 25, 1936, daughter of the late Manlis Buck and Gladys Helms Gordon. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lomar Godfrey. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will visit with friends and relatives Thursday from 12:00 noon – 1:45 PM prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in Hermon Baptist Church cemetery. Ms. Godfrey is survived by her sons, Mack Godfrey and wife Linda, Gene Godfrey and wife Michelle and Jim Godfrey and wife Dianne, all of Waxhaw; daughters Brenda Baker and husband Marvin of Lancaster, Evelyn Wilkinson and husband Jim of Mint Hill, Sherry Everhart and husband Chuck of Waxhaw; brothers Bobby and Garry Gordon of Waxhaw; sisters, Shirley Nance of Albemarle, Linda Spittle of Waxhaw and Ricki Johnson of Snow Camp; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
