Everett Andrew “Andy” Wofford, Jr., 80, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe. Everett “Andy” was born in Mecklenburg County to the late Everett Andrew Wofford, Sr. and Martha Bowen Wofford. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:15AM Friday, October 1, 2021, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:30AM with burial following at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Andy’s favorite past times were saltwater fishing, gardening and building anything from scratch. He was also an accomplished electrician. He was the project coordinator for AEP Industries for 40 years until his retirement in August, 2017. Andy is preceded in death by his loving wife Colon Kiker Wofford. He is survived by his two daughters, Robin and husband David Black of Wadesboro, NC and Misty and husband Travis Laney of Peachland, NC; eight grandchildren: Tashia (Robbie) Funderburke, Jacob Black, Casey Black, Haley (Trent) Ward, Logan Volk and Emily Laney, Christopher & Harley Drake; two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Abigail Funderburke and two brothers: Dennis Wofford (Laurie) and Jerry Wofford of Raleigh, North Carolina.
