Frances Marie Anderson Godfrey, 89, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1936, daughter to the late Robert Henry Anderson and Lorena Deese Anderson. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, Douglas Godfrey, and their two daughters, Cathy G. Sain and Tonnie G. Rushing.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the graveside service at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Robin Griffin, as well as six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
