Fletcher "Fj" Helms

Fletcher Junior “FJ” Helms, 65, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. He was born May 8, 1951, in Union County to the late Horace Helms, Jr. and Minnie Brown Helms. Mr. Helms is survived by his brother, Clarence Helms and his wife Lorraine of Monroe, three sisters, Shirley Griffin and husband Earl, Carolyn Philemon and husband Jerry, Geraldine Griffin and husband Tommy. The family will greet friends and relatives from 1:00 to 1:45 PM Friday afternoon, January 20, 2017, at Gordon Funerals Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service Chapel, followed by burial at New Salem Baptist Church cemetery.
