Frances Tadlock Tiddy, 85, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was born in Durham County, NC on April 30, 1928 daughter of the late William Crawford and Loretta Hill Tadlock. Mrs. Tiddy was a retired Monroe City School employee. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Monroe City Cemetery. Mrs. Tiddy was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis Tiddy. She is survived by her son, John F. Tiddy, Jr. and wife Patricia of Monroe, daughter Nancy Helms and husband Johnny of Ansonville, grandson, Michael Jason Helms of Japan and her beloved dog, “Max” and her instant buddy, Mike Harvey.
