Francis (Frank) Bryan King

Francis Bryan King, 87, of Monroe, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He was born in Onslow County, NC on September 21, 1936, and was the son of the late Francis Duffy King and Millie Bishop King, he is also preceded in death by his brothers; Allen King, Dalton King, and sister, Thelma King.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Madelyn Davis King, daughters; Vicky Watts, Melody Hinson (Tracy), Wendy Ahlstrom, (Kevin) Shawn Horne, and son Stephen King (Kelly), eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Frank King was a kind, gentle man that loved his wife and his family. A Christian, who loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his church family.

Operating King’s Skating Center was a joy to him. Teaching children to skate and watching everyone have a great time. Many lifetime friends were made throughout the years.

It was an honor for him to serve his country in the U.S. Navy.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family and is Forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Grace Baptist Church, 3411 Weddington Road, Monroe, NC 28112, with burial with military honors to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3411 Weddington Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
