Franklin Dill Holloway was born on January 6, 1956, to the late Marion and Ann Holloway. He passed away on May 31, 2024, after a long battle with COPD.
Frank graduated from Camden Military Academy and enjoyed traveling to the mountains, watching Carolina basketball, and keeping up with all the news. He also enjoyed music and took great pride in his flowers, especially the heritage roses from Georgia.
He was predeceased by his parents and by his brother-in-law, Tony Szenasy. Frank is survived by his sister, Wanda Ray, and her husband Don, and his brother Marion, and his wife Mary Helen. He is also survived by three nieces, Laura Walters and her husband Chris, Kim Payne, and Jennifer Holloway as well as great nephews Stephen and Brian Walters and great nieces Emma, Stella, and Sloane Payne.
An informal gathering will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Monroe City Cemetery, 891 Bickett Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
The family would like to thank Frank’s friends who supported him during his illness, especially his chief caregiver and friend, Sean Parrish.
