Franklin “Frank” W. Parker, 78, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014. He was born January 28, 1936 in Union County to the late Cornelius Neal and Mamie Richardson Parker. He was a Korean War veteran, and a retired chemical operator at Goulston Technologies Inc. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Entombment will be at 11:00 AM Monday, March 3, 2014 in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 1:00 - 1:45 PM prior to the service on Sunday. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Louise Pope Parker and brothers, Edward Parker of Waxhaw and Sam Parker of New Salem. Memorials may be made to Oakland Baptist Church, 600 E.
